Background work on Common Frameworks
The Committee discussed common frameworks as it considered the legislative consent memorandum and supplementary legislative consent memorandum lodged on the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill.

1 May 2019 | The Committee responded to the letter from the Finance and Constitution Committee. The letter advised that due to the Committee’s remit, it had not looked at common frameworks in any detail. |
25 March 2019 | The Finance and Constitution Committee wrote to the Committee about the role of the Scottish Parliament in scrutinising new powers arising from the UK leaving the EU.
The letter focused on 3 main areas including common frameworks that may be required. |
5 September 2018 | The Committee scrutinised the legislative consent memorandum on the UK Trade Bill and received an update from the deputy director of policy, Scotland Office, on the ongoing discussions on common frameworks. |
3 May 2018 | The Committee continued to take evidence on the supplementary legislative consent memorandum lodged on the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill. The Committee discussed common frameworks with the Secretary of State for Scotland, and the Minister for the Constitution at the Cabinet Office. |
